10 Things That Happen During Ramadan
Every year, a new face pops up with a random question or two about the whys and whats of Ramadan. “Can you eat aaloo? Coke? Water? Anything? Nothing? WHAT?!” People find the ‘no food – no water from dawn to dusk’ bit hard to believe, but trust me, we’re not kidding. Ramadan is, without a doubt, a month of patience and endurance. Here’s a look at what really happens during the month of Ramadan.
1. Waking up at 3 am for Sehri is a major struggle
2. When you are struggling to keep your eyes open but your mom orders you to finish your meal

3. Gulping down bottles full of water (pretending to be a camel with a hump and storing all that food like a boss), only to feel like throwing up a few minutes later
4. Feeling absolutely vella after praying, because no music, television or anything remotely obscene during the fasting hours
5. Sometimes making super stupid decisions and regretting them later, like accompanying your friends on a day out and having nowhere to look as they shove food in their faces
6. Every day at precisely 4 pm
