One of the evergreen favourites in Delhi’s food circle, this place really lives up to it’s name. Strategically located at the most visited places in New Delhi, this café is the epitome of awesomeness.
There is not a time when it is not completely occupied, whichever outlet it might be. The level of its popularity can be guessed by the fact that there are two outlets in Khan Market but still it fails to suffice the crowd. The café has quite an elaborate menu, one like an encyclopaedia, it takes a good 15-20 minutes to go through the entire ‘book’, in case, you have not pre-decided what you want to order. If you have given up on dieting, Big Chill is the place to accumulate fat, the stylish and delicious way.
Owned by Aseem Grover and Fawzia Ahmed, the interior of the cafe has been designed to give a slightly retro look. The walls are adorned with framed posters of yesteryear’s classics like Casablanca and Hitchcock’s Psycho. The cafe attracts a fairly eclectic crowd.
Pasta in White Sauce, Mississippi Mud Pie and Belgian Chocolate Shake are some of the must-haves at Big Chill. The real reason to queue up is to get into THE BIG CHILL’s desserts – banoffe pie, squidgy cake, smooth, home-made ice creams and frozen yoghurts. Book in advance or be prepared for a long wait to get a table.
Location: Khan Market, Vasant Kunj, Saket & Kailash Colony.
